Vegas Marries the Military
The Office of the Clark County Clerk and the Vegas Wedding Chamber host the annual Vegas Marries the Military on Tuesday, Nov. 10, in recognition of Veterans Day. The initiative offers free weddings and vow renewals to U.S. military personnel and veterans. This year, six couples representing the Army, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard will take part, with one wedding and five vow renewals. Active-duty Army soldiers Chloe Hegner and Kiara Cantlin will become the first same-sex couple to wed through the program, at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel at Vegas Weddings. Four of the six ceremonies will use a 'Couples Marrying Couples' format, in which married officiant couples perform the ceremonies.
