Yellowstone fans, take note: MGM Grand Las Vegas is opening a Four Sixes Ranch steakhouse with Taylor Sheridan. See what's known and what's still missing.

Taylor Sheridan's Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse Coming to MGM Grand

Las Vegas has plenty of steakhouses. What it's short on is steakhouses with a real reason to exist. MGM Grand thinks it has one: Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse, a partnership with Taylor Sheridan and the Texas cattle ranch his name is now tied to, opening at the resort in early 2027.

So far it's a name and a brand story. Nobody has said what goes on the grill.

Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse Las Vegas: What MGM Announced

MGM Resorts announced the deal on Thursday, October 22, 2026. The company calls it a new chapter for MGM Grand’s restaurant lineup and says the steakhouse will bring the ranch’s Western traditions and heritage to the resort, paired with MGM’s own hospitality operation.

That covers everything announced so far. MGM named no opening date beyond “early 2027” and gave no location inside the property. There is no menu yet, no chef, and no word on whether the beef comes off Four Sixes land or just carries the brand. Those gaps are the whole story for anyone who plans to eat there.

The Taylor Sheridan Question

Most people know Sheridan as the creator of Yellowstone. The Four Sixes, the old West Texas ranch known for cattle and Quarter Horses, has shown up on his shows since his group bought it in 2022. The brand has a real audience, and some of them will book a table here just to be near it.

Those fans are not who I’m thinking about. I’ve watched too many famous names go up on the front of a Strip restaurant while the kitchen behind it ran off a binder somebody else wrote. A licensing deal can still produce good food, but only if the cooks on the line are good and the sourcing is honest. The name on the sign has nothing to do with either.

What Would Make This Worth It

I spent a couple of years on a broiler station in this town. Steak looks easy and isn’t, because there’s nowhere to hide. A good one comes down to two things: the beef, and a cook who knows how to handle it. The cook needs to get a hard crust on the outside, keep the inside where the ticket says it should be, and let the steak rest long enough that the juice stays in the meat instead of running across the plate.

A ranch could have an advantage here that a celebrity can’t. If Four Sixes is actually supplying the beef, MGM should say so plainly, with details on the cuts, how the cattle are finished and how long the meat is aged. Real sourcing would give this place a reason to exist in a city already full of dry-aged ribeyes. A ranch logo stamped on commodity beef would not.

The menu will tell you which one you’re getting. Look at what’s on it besides steak. Look at whether the sides take actual cooking. Check whether there’s a bar seat where you can watch the grill. When the menu and prices come out, I’ll go through it item by item and tell you what to order and what to skip.

How to Get a Table

There’s no way to book yet. MGM hasn’t announced reservations, hours or prices. Watch the MGM Grand website for an opening date as early 2027 gets closer.

Expect the first few weeks to be packed with Yellowstone fans. If you care more about the steak than the setting, wait until the crowd thins and the kitchen has had a month to settle in. Then order one steak cooked medium-rare and judge the place on it.
