Three Nights, Three Different Country Eras

Yoakam built his catalog on the Bakersfield sound, the twangy, Buck Owens-descended style that stood apart from Nashville’s polish in the ’80s and ‘90s. “Guitars, Cadillacs” and “Fast As You” are the songs that made his name, and they’re the ones on the set list Dec. 3. Allan takes the room the next night with the platinum single “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain),” a 2010s radio staple that still gets requested at every one of his shows. Young closes the run Dec. 5 with “Gettin‘ You Home” and “I’m Comin‘ Over,” the kind of 2010s hits that put him on Billboard’s list of the decade’s top country artists.

Different decades, different sounds, same theatre. Nobody’s headlining a stadium here. These are three separate one-nighters built for a crowd already in town for the rodeo and looking for something to do after the arena events wrap.

Inside the Renovated Theatre

Resorts World Theatre went through a renovation before this booking, and the specs are as much the selling point as the lineup. More than 200 L-Acoustics speakers run L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound, the same category of system touring engineers ask for on arena runs. Buyers get a choice between general admission floor and a fully seated configuration, and VIP tickets come with dedicated entry, private banquette seating with cocktail service, and access to two lounges with their own bars.

The 150-foot max distance to the stage is short for a room this size. Compare that to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, where the back rows sit considerably farther out. Resorts World built this theatre to feel closer than its capacity suggests, which is the pitch for anyone debating floor versus seated.

Five Country Shows, One Building, Eight Days

NFR turns the second week of December into the busiest stretch of the year for country bookings on the Strip. Riley Green’s Dec. 6 and Dec. 10 dates were already locked in before this trio got added, so Resorts World now has five country shows across eight days in the same building. That’s an aggressive run for one venue during one week, and it puts Resorts World in direct competition with whatever Caesars Entertainment properties and other Strip venues line up for the same rodeo crowd.

Ticketmaster isn't handling this one. Sales run straight through the Resorts World box office, which keeps the resort in control of pricing and packaging, including whatever hotel-and-show bundles they push once tickets go live.

Allan’s Friday night slot is the one to watch. NFR crowds tend to hit their stride by the second night, and “Every Storm” is still a wedding-and-bar-singalong staple more than a decade after it charted. That’s a Friday night that sells the room out before Young even takes the stage the next night.
