Martin Lawrence Returns to Vegas
Martin Lawrence is heading back to Las Vegas this July, and honestly, it's about time. The comedy legend will perform at Resorts World Theatre on Saturday, July 11, 2026, as part of his “Y'all Still Know What It Is” tour. After a 10-year hiatus from touring, Lawrence is finally giving fans what they’ve been waiting for – that signature raw, unfiltered humor that made him a household name.
The timing couldn’t be better, coinciding with NBA Summer League when the city's already buzzing with energy. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 20 at 10 a.m. PT through AXS.com, so mark your calendars. This is Lawrence's first major tour in a decade, making it a legitimate event rather than just another celebrity cash grab.
A Comedy Icon's Vegas Moment
Lawrence built his reputation the hard way, starting at legendary spots like The Improv in New York before becoming the host of Def Comedy Jam on HBO. That show was raw television at its finest – no corporate sanitizing, just real comedy that changed the game. His sitcom Martin ran from 1992 to 1997 and remains one of the most-watched shows in syndication, proving its cultural staying power.
The Bad Boys franchise with Will Smith cemented his film career, but it's his stand-up that really showcases his talent. Concert films like “You So Crazy” and “Runteldat” are comedy gold, the kind of performances that remind you why live comedy matters. His ability to blend observational humor with physical comedy created a style that influenced countless comedians who followed.

Why This Show Matters
Resorts World Theatre has quickly established itself as a premier comedy venue since opening in 2021. The 4,850-capacity space provides the perfect setting for Lawrence’s high-energy performance style. The fact that he’s chosen Las Vegas during NBA Summer League shows smart booking – the city will be packed with visitors looking for quality entertainment. Lawrence understands his audience and knows how to deliver. Check out the official entertainment schedule for complete show details.
Back Where He Belongs
After years away from touring, Lawrence’s return feels significant. Too many comedy legends rest on their laurels, but “Y’all Still Know What It Is” suggests he's bringing fresh material while honoring what made him famous. His track record speaks for itself – from Def Comedy Jam to blockbuster films, he’s consistently delivered quality entertainment.
This isn’t nostalgia touring; it’s a master comedian at work. Las Vegas gets the best live entertainment, and Lawrence’s July 11 show promises to remind everyone why he's considered one of the most successful touring comedians of all time. Sometimes the anticipation is worth the wait.
