Get Tickets — from $45North Strip: Smith's near Sahara Ave
If you're staying near the Stratosphere (now Sahara Las Vegas), Smith's Food and Drug is the most practical option. Walkable if you don‘t mind the distance, though the neighborhood is functional rather than scenic. Smith’s is Kroger-owned, well-stocked, and not priced for tourists.
Also in the North Strip range is Vons on E. Twain Avenue, which is more useful for people staying at the Linq, Caesars Palace, or Aria. Full-service supermarket: produce, deli, pharmacy, reasonable prices on staples.
South Strip: Vons on Tropicana
The Vons on Tropicana Avenue is directly across from UNLV. If you‘re at Excalibur or MGM Grand, it’s under two miles away and doesn't require getting on a freeway.
Mid-Strip and Further Out: Whole Foods and Safeway
Whole Foods is a little over three miles from Aria, about ten minutes by car from the Cosmopolitan or Flamingo. The Whole Foods Las Vegas location has better produce, a wider prepared foods section, and prices that reflect both.
Safeway is at 4440 E. Charleston Boulevard, which is genuinely far from the Strip. Fully stocked, but unless you‘re already heading east, it’s not worth the trip.
For most Strip stays, Vons on E. Twain or Vons on Tropicana is the right answer depending on which end you‘re on. If you’re staying several days and actually cooking, Whole Foods is worth the slightly longer trip. Smith‘s is the call if you’re at the north end and want Kroger prices.
Rideshare to a grocery store and back runs about $8-12 each way from most Strip hotels. Compared to resort convenience store prices for water and snacks, the math usually works out in favor of making the trip.
