Las Vegas employs more working magicians than any other city on earth. Some hold their own theatres on the Strip; others work afternoon rooms, downtown bars and a speakeasy hidden behind an arcade. This is who they are.
For showtimes, venues and what is on sale tonight, see our guide to every magic show playing in Las Vegas. This page is about the performers.

Shin Lim
Working now
Two-time America's Got Talent winner, 2018 and Champions the year after. A close-up card worker rather than a big-box illusionist: almost wordless on stage, shot to screens so the whole room sees the hands.

Penn Jillette and Teller
Working now
The longest-running headline act in Las Vegas, past 25 years in the same room. Penn talks, Teller does not, and the pair made a career of explaining a trick and fooling you with it anyway. Penn still meets the audience in the lobby afterwards.
Mat Franco
Working now
The first magician to win America's Got Talent, and the only magician on the Strip with a theatre carrying his name. Works loose and improvised, building much of the show from whatever the audience hands him. Booked through 2030.

Criss Angel
Working now
Came to Vegas off the back of the Mindfreak television series and has held a Strip theatre since. His is the loudest production in town: 75 minutes, 75-plus illusions, heavy on pyro and projection.
Piff the Magic Dragon
Working now
Stage name of an English magician who performs in a dragon suit with a chihuahua called Mr. Piffles. A Britain's Got Talent and America's Got Talent alum. The magic is genuinely good; the delivery is stand-up.
